Service Pack 5 Update

The Service Pack 5 update file is our final version and update to our 2000i products. This version will bring you up to the latest Version 5.00.0822 of our 2000i products.

1. Click on the link to download the file.
2. In the File – Download dialog box you will click on the Save button.
3. In the Save – As dialog box you will choose where you would like to download and save this file to your computer.
4. Once you have selected where you would like to save the file, for example, if you wanted to save the file to your desktop, you would click the pull down arrow in the Save In section and choose Desktop.
5. Once this is done you will click on the Save button and the file will start to download to your computer.
6. When the file is downloaded you will make sure that you shut down any 2000i products.
7. Search for the directory that you downloaded the SP5update.EXE and double click on the file.
8. You will now be presented with the INSTALLSHIELD Self Extracting EXE dialog box prompting you to install the Omega Research Service Pack 5 Update. Click on Yes and follow the prompts on the upgrade.
9. When finished you will need to reboot your computer.
   This will complete the upgrade.

2000i Patch to Handle DTN Feed Modification

ATTENTION: This update is only necessary if you are using DTN as your data vendor. If you are not using DTN as your data vendor, you do not need to install this update.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: On 3/17/2003, DTN made some changes to its feed that require the installation of this update.

It is recommended that all DTN users install this update as soon as possible. When installing, please wait until the trading day has concluded, since all of your TradeStation Technologies applications, including GlobalServer, must be shut down.

Verify that you have Service Pack 5 installed before continuing. In Help- About you should see Version 5.00.0822. If you don't have Service Pack 5, click here to download and install it. Close all TradeStation Technologies applications, including GlobalServer. Click the button below to download the file (or_dtn32.dll)

1. Choose "Save this program to disk".
2. Navigate to the Program Files\Omega Research\Program folder.

2000i Update to Handle PCQuote.com Online Feed Modification

Note: This update is only needed if you are using PCQuote as your data vendor. If you are not using PCQuote, you do not need to install this.

PCQuote recently changed its feed to transmit intraday volumes for electronic futures. Although this change does not cause any adverse effects in terms of data collection, it does have a negative impact on the performance of the charting application. This update will correct any possible performance degradation in charting. It is recommended that all PCQuote users install this update as soon as possible. When installing, please wait until the trading day has concluded, since all of your TradeStation Technologies applications, including GlobalServer, must be shut down.

DialData instructions for 2000i products

Due to some internal changes at Dial Data, some modifications to your Omega Research product are necessary. To continue using Dial Data in conjunction with your Omega Research product, please follow the steps corresponding to the Omega Research product that you are using.

Download Update

For Omega Research 2000i products

1. Ensure that no Omega Research applications are running.
2. Click the link to download the dload32.dll file-Update Program File.
3. Select the Save this program to disk option.
4. Navigate to the Program Files\Omega Research\Program folder.
5. Click the Save button.
6. If asked to replace the existing version of the dload32.dll file, select Yes.
7. Locate the dd_inet.oms file. The default location is C:\Program Files\Omega Research\Dataman.
8. Open the dd_inet.oms file.
9. Ensure that the first line of this file reads as follows: SetHosts("dd.trackdata.com")
10. Save and close the dd_inet.oms file.
11. The upgrade is now complete. The next time you download, the updated settings will take effect.

For Omega Research 4.0 and prior products

Note: No download is necessary to update Omega Research product versions 4.0 and prior.

DTN has modified the handling of incremental volume of electronic futures. This change will break compatibility with 2000i. To remedy this, we have made a slight modification to 2000i that will allow DTN to remain compatible. This patch can be installed before DTN makes any changes to their feed. It is recommended that all DTN users install this update as soon as possible. When installing, please wait until the trading day has concluded, since all of your TradeStation Technologies applications, including GlobalServer, must be shut down.
